Welland Canal

This dataset contains the mapping and attribute information regarding the Welland Canal. The Welland Canal is a man-made transportation waterway. It is a major transportation route for the shipping industry, allowing boats to travel up and down the escarpment between Lake Ontario and Lake Erie. The extent of this dataset corresponds to the path of the Welland Canal from Lock 8 in Port Colborne, north to Lock 1 in Port Weller.
