Waste Collection Areas

This dataset represents the Waste Management Collection Area boundaries. These boundaries provide information on what day garbage is collected for each municipality. The dataset extent corresponds to the Niagara Region. The data was compiled from hardcopy maps provided by the collection contract operator.

The collection day boundaries in this file are for normal collection for single family dwellings and multi-residential properties with up to 6 units only. Other criteria that may affect collection day (e.g. designation as an ICI property, designation within a Designated Business Area or DBA, etc.) are not reflected. Additional details regarding collection limits and materials may be identified through www.niagararegion.ca or by contacting the Waste Management Information Services Line at 1-800-594-5542.
