CIP Project Area

This dataset depicts areas identified as Community Improvement Plan areas in Niagara municipalities with the following exceptions: Gateway CIP areas; Lincoln Mixed Use and Intensification CIP; Port Colborne Industrial CIP; and several Brownfield CIPs, whose areas in each Local Municipality is different but generally aligns with its urban area (as do the Gateway CIP areas in the five Gateway municipalities). Note that St. Catharines' CIP area is the entire urban area, but Niagara Region matches incentive programs in the priority areas represented here as the City's CIP areas. Finally, please note that the Region currently matches incentive programs in most but not all CIP areas, as reflected in the Incentive Approval Status layer here; for Regional participation in the CIP areas not mapped here listed above, please contact the Program Manager, Grants and Incentives at the Region.
